We have collected various options for Ottocento design in the gallery of textures. All these pictures are works, done by the masters, who are skilled in how to apply decorative coatings TM Maxima Decor. The collection shows various color variants of the coating: from light to more saturated colors.

Our specialists apply decorative coatings in 2 classic techniques: antico and “eights” and also their own application technique named “a slice of stone”.

Antico was borrowed from the Italian “Antico”, which means ancient or antique. This way of plaster application with large strokes is usually done with a metal trowel. By shifting the direction of the trowel moves, they create a textured surface with various shades and color transfers.

The “Eights” technique application of decorative plaster receives its name after the feature movements, which imitate figure “eight”, for this purpose metal or plastic trowels are used. Technique “eights” creates complicated dimensional pictures, which have depth because of the play of colors.

A unique technique “a slice of stone” is the way to apply Ottocento with a metal trowel combining circle and criss-cross moves. The layering of the coating creates veins on the surface, which are the traits of a sliced stone. However, you should consider that this technique looks more win-win in dark saturated colors, for example: grey, black, dark blue, emerald, dark brown, khaki, etc.
