The trend for eco style and use of natural materials continues. Every second kitchen interior contains a texture of natural stone, like marble, onyx, jasper or lapis lazuli. The use of stone is expensive, that is why there is a cheaper option - Stucco Veneziano. The Venetian plaster allows creating effect of marble imitating natural veins and glossy glitter. It makes the space of a kitchen sophisticated and luxurious and provides the room with its own style.
Decorative coating with the effect of marble
Venetian plaster looks perfect as an accented wall or on separate architectural elements of the interior (a ceiling, a wall panel, a splashback, or recesses), however, it is not recommended to use Venetian plaster for a floor or a tabletop. It is vulnerable to mechanical impacts, so when cleaning the plaster surface, it is recommended to avoid using brushes, rough sponges and abrasive goods. Wipe the surface with a wet napkin, cloth or sponge. For the surfaces, that are extremely contaminated, you may use soaped water (weak-concentrated solution).
If you are planning to use Venetian plaster in the kitchen, you should keep in mind the following:
Pastel colors. Many people choose calm and neutral colors for the kitchen such as light grey, beige, white or light pastel tones. These colors create the feeling of space and they can be combined with all kinds of kitchen accessories and furniture.
Warm colors. If you want to make the kitchen warmer and cozier, try to use warm colors, such as brown or light terracotta. Warm colors can be more practical in a less-lighted premise.
Modern accents. Bright and rich colors, such as dark blue, crimson, emerald or black can be used as accents for supporting separate details of the interior.
