The next step is applying the first coat of Stucco Veneziano. It forms the base for further decorative effect and allows the surface to be prepared for creating a featured pattern. After it dries, the most interesting part of the work begins: creating a texture that imitates natural marble.
To make the vase look maximally natural, the main pattern was made with featured shifts and the texture of stone. To emphasize the decorative effect, we used the tamponado technique that allows creating an expressive effect of chopped marble. Due to this technique, the surface looks deeper, and the texture is more complex and realistic.
The final decorative accent is gold leaf. Its delicate gloss emphasizes the texture of the surface, adds sophistication to the vase, and makes it a real decorative masterpiece in the interior. Depending on the chosen style, you can use various colors of gold leaf, or you can refuse to use it at all, creating restricted or in contrary compositions that are more impressive.
As the vase shall not only look beautiful but also be useful, the final step is to apply polyurethane-acrylic parquet varnish TM Maxima. It creates a hard protective coat that increases resistance of the coating to mechanical loading, makes looking after easier, and provides a long-lasting period of good-looking appearance.
