Application of any kind of decorative coating required preparations. Before starting application make sure that the surface is smooth, clean and dry. Prime the surface to make it hard and for better adhesion with finishing products. We recommend Aqua Primer 1:10. It’s drying period is less than 2 hours.
The next step is the application of adhesive primer with quartz filler Quartz Primer. It makes the work with decorative materials and their structuring easier. Apply Quartz Primer using a roller with a medium nap. The drying period is 24 hours.
The third step is applying the first coat of the decorative coating with a trowel. The texture of the first coat can be solid (smooth the surface with a spatula) or rough (form a structure with a roller with a short nap). Leave it for 24 hours.
The first coat affects the final look of the application and consumption of the material. Solid base surface create smoother coating without expressive volume. This option lessens consumption of the material.
Rough base surface makes the pattern more expressive and relief. It also increase consumption of the material.
It depends on your own preferences. Modern trends dictate laconic, simple, natural look but each option can have a natural look in the interior.
Application of the second coat of the decorative coating. Apply a part of the product on the trowel. Form a texture, which resembles “peaks” or “islands”, taking off the trowel from the surface chaotically and roughly. Leave it for 5-20 minutes “to fix”. Then flatten the surface and leave it dry completely. Quick flattening makes a smoother and more homogeneous surface.
Location and size form the visual result. The closer “islands\peaks” are located to each other, the more expressive the relief, and the more “mainlands”. The bigger “islands\peaks” are, the larger “mainlands” are.
Marmorino in technique “Map of the world” is a perfect solution for eco style, wabi-sabi, loft, industrial, grange and Scandinavian interiors.
The main peculiarity of Marmorino is realistic and natural texture, which can imitate various stones. It is possible by tinting the coating or tinting the wax.
Decorative coating Marmorino requires an additional protection with a wax. Wax tinting allows emphasizing the texture better, forming the volume and adding new shades. Meanwhile when you tint the coating, you wouldn’t gain the same result. However, there is one more option, when you tint decorative coating and wax. That makes the colors more saturated and the texture more expressive. With tinted wax you can mute saturation of the coating or even add other shades. The result depends on your imagination.
Arabesk in the technique “The map of the world” resembles velour, silk, or lurex. Nacre coating looks more delicate but depends much on the lighting. The source, temperature, and angle of light play roles. It is also important to understand that the material allows adding the coating shades when applied. Depending on the tool direction movements, nacre obtains a light or dark tone.
The soft shine of Arabesk adds interior elegance; that is why the coating suits such designs as Barocco, New Classicism, Eclectics, Modern, and Art Deco.
“The map of the world” with Arabesk can have various looks, depending on the chosen tone of the coating.
Cold tones visually make the premise lighter and make it cool. Grey, grey-blue, blue, turquoise are ideal colors for the corridor, kitchen, study or playing room.
Warm tones are about calmness and comfort. They make you relaxed and help focus you on resting. Beige, vanilla, ivory or white coffee are universal colors for the living room and bedroom.
